Interview With the Vampire is a 1976 novel by Anne Rice, in which she explores themes of morality, same sex love, loyalty, immortality and oozes of homoerotism. If you didn't get that, you didn't read it. X-Men is about civil rights. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get X-Men. Black Panther is about civil rights. If you didn’t get that, you didn’t get Black Panther. Captain America had a queer Jewish friend named Arnie who protected him from neighborhood bullies in his scrawny youth, and when Arnie passed years later, Cap started a center for LGBTQ+ youth in New York in his friend Arnie's memory. This is canon. There'd be no Cap without Arnie Roth. Captain America also literally fought Nazis. He is the embodiment of fighting the alt-right and Homophobics alike. The Slap the World Didn’t Need? Or Did It!

Ah yes, poor poor Chris Rock. NOT! It seems that now that we have found it acceptable to laugh at a joke about a debiltating, painful disease where a person's hair falls out. It truly sucks, that the likes of Chris Rock, Ricky Gervais and Dave Chappelle find material for their jokes in someone's pain of having a disease that they have no control of, simple being who they are, or having more job offers in Hollywood than themselves. (The thought of it being because no one likes working with them, because they are so full of themselves and love hearing their own voices so much, that they won't leave any place for anyone else besides them, of course never crossed their minds.) We laugh at their mean spirited jokes because we are glad they don't bully us? Because we seem to have to? Because the others laugh as well? Because it's the in thing to do? Because we simply don't care? The Emperor's new clothes much? It is in this real world of pain, selfdoubts, ...
